Kit Lee’s DIY Two-tone heart nail art for Valentine’s Day!

It’s Valentine’s Day!  I’ve came up with a cool DIY 2 tone heart nail art to mark the special occasion, the step by step process is easy to follow. All you need are 3 different coloured nail varnishes of your choice and toothpicks to draw a heart on it.

I’ve used: Topshop ‘Cyclone’ grey, Nails Inc ‘St James’ red, Barry M ‘Cyan Blue’ blue, and toothpicks.

Instructions:

  1. Before you start, buff and file your nails.  Apply 2 coats of Topshop grey, allow it to dry.
  2. To create a 2 tone heart, dip the toothpick in Nails Inc red and paint a half ‘V’ stroke in the center of your nail.
  3. Lastly, paint the other half ‘V’ stroke in Barry M blue.  Be sure to apply a top coat of clear varnish to finish.
  4. To finish off the look, wear a Folli Follie ‘Desire’ watch to compliment your artwork.

When it comes to gifting we usually stick to the saying ‘it’s the thought that counts’. Well, So did we.. until we met up with Gift wrapping Guru Vicky Nemel. It’s certainly not just the present that counts it’s definitely all about the wrapping paper! We dropped our men a hint and headed over to our Bond Street boutique last weekend. With the New Year upon us, we’ve been eyeing the spring/summer 2013 catwalks for the upcoming jewellery trends! Here’s our favourite and what’s more, we have chosen the perfect Folli Follie pieces to sport the new SS13 catwalk trends – so if you want to get ahead of the curve, read on…

Pastel

Jewellery pieces with pastel shades will be one of the hottest accessories this year. Designers fell in love with this colour palette of sky blues, lavender purples, soft pinks and pale yellows featured heavily on the runway from fashion to accessories. Who wouldn’t love the pretty pastel colours?

Stylist and Folli Follie’s Christmas Party Event!

As if Christmas wasn’t exciting enough already, last month we teamed up with Stylist Magazine and hosted an exclusive shopping event in a number of our stores across the country!

The participating stores; Victoria Quarter in Leeds, London’s Regent Street and our concession in Selfridges, Birmingham remained open after normal opening hours  just for exclusive Stylist readers to start their Christmas shopping early, or even indulge in a little retail therapy.

The evening was all about showcasing our latest collections whilst enjoying festive drinks and tasty nibbles. Guests were also treated to fabulous beauty treats with an in-store Folli Follie nail bar, perfect for all stylish fashionistas!

It was an evening not to be missed and we were extremely thrilled with the tremendous turnout on all three evenings and the response we received with our new collection.

Folli Follie celebrates its first ever collaboration with Kids Company!

Last Thursday, Folli Follie hosted an event to celebrate its first ever collaboration with leading UK charity Kids Company at the Flagship Bond Street Store and to unveil the exclusive collection!

To tie in with the charity’s mantra ‘Love is all it takes’, Folli Follie re-worked one of its most iconic collection, Heart4Heart, in the charity’s signature bright pink. The exclusive hot pink collection consists of dazzling rose gold and silver jeweled watches, bracelets and necklace perfect to gift a love one for Christmas and what’s even more special a donation of 25% of sales will directly go to Kids Company and its intensive therapeutic provision for the most vulnerable children that the charity supports.

The breath-taking British Supermodel Erin O’Conner was thrilled to be a part of the collaboration after showing a personal interest for Kids Company and to be representing both brands at the event by unveiling the exclusive collection. Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder of Kids Company discussed Kids Company, its work and promoted Folli Follie’s initiative.

Guests enjoyed a scrumptious afternoon tea, offering mouth-watering mini sandwiches, cakes and champagne cocktails while they enjoyed the atmosphere. Many guests brought along their children to enjoy the treats and the children’s activity area specially created on the first floor providing entertainment including the popular Twistina, The Amazing Balloon Lady and the colouring activity on the Heart4Heart logo wall!

The evening was a huge success with a fantastic turnout all of which were extremely thrilled with the collaboration and the collection!

It’s been an exciting month for Folli Follie with the announcement of our exclusive collaboration with leading UK charity Kids Company, which provides practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children.

To tie in with the charity’s mantra ‘Love is All it Takes’, we have re-worked one of our most iconic and meaningful collections, Heart4Heart, in the charity’s signature bright pink and introduced necklaces, bracelets and watches in silver and rose gold!

Each purchase will come with a charity collaboration tag and will donate 25% of the sales from the bespoke pieces directly to Kids Company!
